|In the summer of 1948, Granddad was invited to participate in a fishing holiday, way up north at Lyon's Head on Georgian Bay.|
A party of 4 was formed. Granddad on the left of the car, Robert Ford
behind Neil Ford (cousins), and George Ford (older brother of Robert and
the photographer). The man on the left was from the fishing camp.
First they had to pack the car. Granddad took his fishing equipment for the event. His fishing equipment involved a wooden block, on which he wound the stranded copper fishing line. He had a single hook with a simple item to attract the fish. The other fellows had a small fishing tackle collection.
In the background you can see the log cabins that they stayed in.
